Portuguese singer-songwriter PAMA has just released a new original song, "Rapariguinha", now available on digital platforms. The music and lyrics are by the artist himself, and the production was once again handled by João Só.
According to PAMA (Paulo Andrade's stage name and nickname), "Rapariguinha is the story of an almost platonic crush of a shy teenager." Through the lyrics and the song's cheerful rhythm, the musician reflects in this new song the purity of youthful feelings. "Our fears and shyness sometimes prevent us from clearly seeing what is right in front of us," in this case, a reciprocated youthful love.
After the recent "Olha por Mim", PAMA continues to explore intimate and emotional writing, with another song that reinforces the originality of his work as a singer-songwriter on the Portuguese music scene. The production of this new track took place again at Estúdio Zeco, by João Só, a reference space where many relevant names in Portuguese music pass through.
With almost two decades of artistic trajectory and two albums released, PAMA is now going through a more mature phase of his career, reflected in the new songs and in a more personal, conscious and emotional artistic approach.
Upcoming shows: Cineteatro Messias and FNAC Sessions
Along with the release of the new song, PAMA announces this month a series of shows where he will present the new songs live, along with older tracks. On stage, he performs with the band Trio+1, who usually accompany him.
On May 22nd at 9 pm, he will perform at the Cineteatro Messias, in Mealhada, with tickets available on the usual platforms.
Following that, PAMA and the band will take over FNAC stages in different parts of the country, with free shows on weekends. The first FNAC Session takes place in Coimbra on June 20th at 4 pm, followed by the FNAC at NorteShopping on July 18th at 5 pm, Leiria on July 19th at 5 pm, and Almada on September 12th at 4 pm. The tour will also include other venues, on dates to be announced soon.
Multi-instrumentalist and composer, PAMA has been consolidating his own identity in the Portuguese music scene. This concert series aims to bring the artist closer to new audiences, with a setlist of new and old themes that reflect his original compositional work and a life trajectory in which music has always been present.
Reminder: please verify show times, venues and ticket availability with the official sources before travelling. Free FNAC Sessions are subject to capacity at each store on the day.
